In the structure of the medieval city, the synagogue was a prominent coordinate. The architectural presence of these buildings and their furnishings vividly reflected the position and living conditions of the Jewish community. The special exhibition is dedicated to the special architecture of the synagogues and their perception as important sacral and social places in the Middle Ages.
