From the range of few preserved Jewish ritual buildings from the Middle Ages, the Old Synagogue stands out as one of the largest and best preserved prayer rooms in Central Europe.
In a complex of buildings on Benediktsplatz 1 in the historic city centre, a medieval stone building is located. Exceptionally numerous essential structures from its time of construction around 1250 have been preserved.
In addition to the buildings, there are singular authentic objects with an exceptional validity on Jewish culture in Central Europe, globally unique in their sheer plenty.
